Rolando Villazón delivers a passionate interpretation of María Grever's "Júrame"

This is one of the great favorites of Mexican songwriting, superbly interpreted by the great Mexican tenor, Rolando Villazón. In this case, Rolando's all-consuming passion suits this song perfectly. The song is the epitome of Mexican-style possessive / self-destructive romanticism. It's how all the male leads in Mexican "golden age" cinema end up drinking a huge bottle of unlabeled, unidentified alcohol in a smoky cantina.

An additional interesting note is that Maria Grever was a student of Claude Debussy, according to Wikipedia.
